Side by side comparison between 360AI Talent and Market Intelligence Platform and SourceWhale Sourcing Tool
The engagement layer vs the intelligence layer
SourceWhale is a well liked recruitment engagement platform. Its multi channel sequencing across email, LinkedIn, SMS and calls is genuinely strong, and recruiters praise the time it saves on follow-ups and activity logging. If outreach automation is the only gap in your stack, it fills it well.
SourceWhale has been expanding fast: a native CRM and ATS module launched in late 2025, and a new Sourcing module now searches across your CRM and the live web in natural language. Credit where due, it is a broader platform than it was a year ago. But the structural gap has not moved: by SourceWhale's own description, Sourcing surfaces and enriches the contacts you already have plus live web lookups, there is no owned talent index behind it, and the Chrome extension capturing data as you browse remains central to how candidates get in. There is also still nothing for finding clients or reading the market: no company intelligence, no hiring or buying intent signals, no live jobs data. 360AI is the intelligence layer that covers all of it: 1.5B+ talent profiles and 72M+ companies on an owned, real-time engine, AI Headhunter for sourcing, AI Prospector for winning business, AI Guru for conversational intelligence across your whole desk, signals, live jobs data and multi channel outreach.
One runs your workflow on the data you already have. The other supplies the intelligence as well.
A question worth asking any vendor: who carries the LinkedIn risk?
SourceWhale's workflow centres on a Chrome extension that captures candidate data from LinkedIn and other sites as you browse, and runs automated LinkedIn outreach steps in sequences [1][4]. LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits third-party software that automates actions or extracts data from the platform, and LinkedIn actively detects and restricts accounts for automated activity, with enforcement tightening sharply in 2026 [8][9]. We make no claim about how SourceWhale implements this. But before you connect your team's LinkedIn accounts to any extension-based tool, it is fair to ask the vendor exactly how their LinkedIn workflow runs, and whose account carries the risk if LinkedIn objects or suspend your Linkedin account.
360AI never uses your LinkedIn account, or any of your accounts, to act or collect data on our behalf. Our infrastructure carries the work.

The bottom line
SourceWhale automates the recruiter workflow well, and its users say so, and with its new CRM, ATS and Sourcing modules it now covers more of the desk than it used to. But its sourcing still runs on your existing contacts plus live web lookups rather than an owned talent index, there is still nothing for discovering clients or reading the market, and third party purchase data puts the per user cost at around $12,000 a year on average, quote only, with no free tier.
Recruiters using 360AI save 12 to 15 hours per week and agencies cut up to 90% of their tech stack cost by running the whole desk, data, sourcing, BD, signals and outreach, on one intelligence layer.
